welcome

We, all of us, are the earth, the moon, the stars above, the oceans, the rivers, all blades of grass, we are all the cicadas singing you gently to sleep on a summer evening, your belly full of delicious fruit, watermelon or apples or fresh pawpaw, your eyes close softly, you feel your own senses dulled by the gentleness of it all, so that just before you drift off into sleep, you feel as if your soul is protected, safe, that soul is in a comfortable bed made just for you, no one else will ever know just how nice this is, all of the bad things, each individual horror that has visited you no longer exists, in this moment all is quiet, the song of the cicadas continues on, then we all let you sleep, we look on for a moment, we let the feeling linger, before moving on.

About Me

George Koors was born in 1988. He primarily writes long form fiction, but also composes music. He has worked as a writing professor and librarian at universities in The District of Columbia. He is currently seeking representation from an agent for his literary work. He is aided in his work by his trusty cat and dog, Ferdinand and Scully. Always the Wanderer, his first novel, came out in 2015 via Golden Antelope Press and is a fiercely unique post-modern critique of contemporary American and European imperialism. His works are often rooted in philosophy and are greatly influenced by the writings of María Lugones, particularly her concept of World Travel, as well as many complex life experiences. His graphic novella, Home, was released to the public for free in 2018 and was written and illustrated by the author. In 2024, Golden Antelope Press released a new edition of Always the Wanderer. In June of 2025, Anxiety Press published his new novel, Sing Lazarus

Aside from his writing practice, George aims to provide a literary space on Instagram and YouTube which combats contemporary anti-intellectual trends. George seeks to reframe the literary arts so that a more nuanced discourse may be had, one that embraces critical theories such as marxism, anarchism, feminism, post-colonial theory, and ant-racist theories. By providing low-stakes, but highly researched literary videos on YouTube, George hopes to forward a literary discourse that rejects fascism, xenophobia, transphobia, homophobia, sexism, and racism.
